Our Story

A local mom looking after other moms' kids.

It started ten years ago with one ride to the airport for a friend whose daughter was flying home for Thanksgiving. Word got around — and pretty soon I was making weekly grocery runs, cooking & dropping off pot roast, and waiting at the curb of Memphis International, Oxford, and anywhere in between.

Today, Old Miss Godmother is a small team of trusted, vetted drivers and cooks who treat your kids the way we'd want ours treated. We're not an app and we're not a rideshare. We're the local family on speed-dial when your student needs help — at 3pm or 3am.

Do you provide transportation from Oxford to Memphis International Airport?
Yes — Memphis airport rides are one of our most-requested services. Flat-rate fares, on-time tracking, curbside meet-and-greet with a name sign, and real-time texts to parents at pickup and drop-off. We service the full Oxford to Memphis route 7 days a week, 5 AM to 11 PM.
Can you set up recurring rides for my Ole Miss student?
Absolutely. Many of our families set up weekly standing rides for grocery runs, doctor's appointments, weekly church visits, and late-night safe rides home. Same friendly driver each time when possible — predictability is part of the comfort.
What's included in home-cooked meals and meal prep?
Real Southern cooking — chicken & wild rice, pot roast, baked spaghetti, taco bowls, baked casseroles, fresh sides, and weekly desserts. Order single dinners, bulk packs, or full-week plans of 5/7/10 meals. Allergy- and preference-friendly (gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian).
Are your drivers insured and vetted?
Every driver on our team is personally vetted, fully insured, and background-checked. We're not a rideshare app — we're a small, accountable local team. Most of our drivers are fellow Ole Miss parents themselves.
Do you handle parent weekend and game-day logistics?
Yes — game weekends, move-in, move-out, and family visits. We coordinate multiple rides per day, restaurant drop-offs, and Grove logistics so your family can enjoy the visit.
